Bodog Poker Software

Bodog Poker's software has a lot of nice features and can be tailored for personal preferences. There are many features and filters available to make the Bodog software fit each player's personality and comfort zone.

There are 16 base table felt colors to choose from, all of which can be adjusted for brightness, options for table displays, and the software can be adjusted for either full view or mini view [which is actually the size of most online tables]. The tables can be adjusted for a myriad of preferences ranging from four-color decks to showing pot totals and hand strengths. There is a table-side statistics screen. The note-taking function is easily accessibleand has an automatic text-wrap feature. Players are allowed to upload any non-offensive avatar they choose to represent them.

The main menu interface is relatively simple to access and utilize. The main menu is split into three different categories: Cash Games, Sit and Go Tournaments [SnGs] and Scheduled Tournaments [MTTs]. Each menu is filterable. For instance, Cash Games has buttons for hiding table types [Heads Up, Full or Empty] as well as typ eof game [Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Stud and 5-Stud]. Players can further filter by stake ranges and type.

The left side of the main menu shows your current bankroll, tournament tickets, poker points and play money. Other helpful buttons include "Cashier", "Account" and "Preferences".

Overall, Bodog Poker has done a very nice job with their software.

Bodog Poker Traffic

Traffic at Bodog has fallen off significantly since early 2008. Although there is still a committed following, Bodog has had problems with deposits and cashouts with their American clientele and this has significantly reduced the number of American players.

The table below reflects the number of players seated at tournaments and cash games. Because of it's low traffic, many of Bodog's tournaments tend to have substantial overlays, especially the famous $100,000 Guarantee each Sunday.

Bodog Poker Games

Bodog Poker offers Holdem, Omaha, 7-Card Stud and 5-Card Stud, as well as Sit and Gos [SnGs] and Multi-Table tournaments [MTTs].

Bodog Poker's staple is Texas Hold'em. Players can find games for headsup, 6-max and full-ring ten-handed from $0.05/$0.10 up to the highest $30/$60 tables. Pot limit Hold'em runs from PL10 through PL200 with most traffic at PL10 and PL25. No limit Hold'em has fantastic traffic ranging from NL10 through NL2000. Most Omaha High and Omaha Hi/Lo traffic is of the PL type, with games ranging from PL10 to PL2000. Although 7-Stud High, 7-Stud Hi/Lo and 5-Stud are offered, games are sparse and generally at the lower fixed limits.

Bodog Poker's Holdem SnG traffic is decent with traffic ranging between $2.00+$0.20 T$ builder SnGs, $4+$0.40 Beginner SnGs that substitute larger payouts with a more flat 50% in-the-money payout structure to more orthodox $5 to $220 SnGs. Bodog runs heads-up, 6-player and 10-player tables. Multiple table SnGs are available up to $35. Although they offer Omaha and Stud SnGs, very little traffic can be found at these games.

Bodog Poker's MTTs sees traffic across many different buy-ins. Bodog's MTTs consist of regular tournaments, WSOP and WPT Qualifiers, Guaranteed Tournaments, freerolls, Bodog Poker Point freerolls and, of course, their weekly Sunday $100K Guaranteed tournament.

This indicates that if you are willing to provide information and identification that setting up accounts for other family members within the same household can be accomplished.
